Big girl piggies!

Tori's hair is getting long as you can tell by her tub mohawk.

So she has officially graduated from her antennae and has big girl piggies!

I know this first picture is kinda weird, but I wanted you to check out those lips!

She was very excited about her new piggies (She puts her hands in fists and her whole entire body convulses with excitement...it is rather funny) and not too much later she tried reaching up to take them out, but good thing that I secure those things well! Those piggies stayed in for 2 days!
Make sure you see the OreIda post too!

OreIda or IdaOre?

The weekend of May 15th Tori and I ventured up to Idaho with Jason's parents Gwen and Dennis. It was so fun! Along the way we stopped at Shoshone Falls. It was really beautiful!

We stayed in a beautiful house next to the golf course in Meridian for a way cheaper price than two hotel rooms and we had a full kitchen to make food in so we saved a lot of money!
On Sunday we took a drive up towards McCall, Id. These are pictures of the view! We had fun with Jason, but it was really sad to leave him again.
Dennis and Gwen thought it would be fun to surprise my parents and go to Oregon! I was so excited! So Monday we left Jason and drove to Beaverton.
We left Tori on the doorstep and I called my Mom and told her that there should be a package on her doorstep and that she needed to go look. She went to the door and found Tori. Of course she was really surprised and said "Ohhhh! Leelan, come here quick!" They were so excited to see us!
My Dad went to work for a little bit the next day and then we all went up to Pittock Mansion and took the tour! I recommend it! It was awesome! The gardens were amazing...such beautiful colors. Who wouldn't want to live in in a house like this with this view from their bedrooms?
Then we went on a drive around Portland. We could only stay a day and a half, but it was so fun to see them and Tori had a blast with all 4 grandparents in one place. She was a total ham and loved every minute!
Luckily on the way home Tori and I got to stay with Jason and the Jones' family! They are so amazing!

On Becoming a Train Chaser

Well, I am attempting to upload a video...who knows if it will work! Anyway, Saturday (which apparently is national train day), Dennis (Jason's dad) took us to see the Steam Engine 844 at the Ogden Depot. Dennis is an avid train enthusiast. Anyway... Jason and his dad climbed all over some trains. We got to tour some too, but we got to see one of the last running steam engines...the 844. It was quite impressive (as you can tell by the pictures!)

This is a retired steam engine 833 and Jason climbed on in and became the engineer!

I love this picture! Dennis looks so giddy!
Ahhh tender! Look at the wheels though! They are huge (and so is my already showing prego belly!)

That's the beauty! 844!
Well, after learning about the Engine (today I even watched a lengthy video about the 844...I know Jason, you are jealous!), I was excited to go and "chase" the 844 on its way to Wyoming from Utah. Today we woke up early (apparently Tori got the memo and woke up at 6:15) and waited for the train on East I-84 at a rest area. You wouldn't believe the amount of train "buffs" at this area. Well, as we waited Tori pretended to drive the car and stuck her head out the sun roof.

Then we decided to go claim a spot by the river to take video of the train. At about 8:45 the train rolled by! It was really magnificent and made all of the cool train noises (the chugging, letting off of steam and a little bit of horn). Tori was quite mesmerized by the whole scene.

Then we decided to chase the train. You would not believe the people who follow the train! It is amazing! Well, they got their pictures at the rest area immediately got in their cars and zoomed to the next spot. We didn't think that we were going to catch up, and the traffic was crazy (everyone was trying to keep pace with the engine). We saw the train go through two tunnels and then when we finally caught up with the train it went right underneath the freeway blowing steam up at the car! It was awesome!

Well, we finally got ahead of the train and stopped at a small little town called Echo and that is where I got my two pictures of the train! Isn't it amazing. It was a cool adventure that is for sure!

Catching Up!

Well...if you don't know, Jason has already left for Meridian (as of May 3rd). He is staying with the most amazing family (thanks for hooking us up Jones' family!) and he is excited about his new job. He hates being away from the family (we miss him a lot, but I don't think Tori really gets that he is gone yet). Anyway, we decided to meet at his parents this weekend (and save him and hour or so of driving) to celebrate Mother's day. I got a Willowtree angel (I collect them) and I will get another baby bag as soon as I can find one that I like. Anyway, we had a fabulous weekend! Here are some pictures from May!

I am actually not sure when I took these pictures...I think that it was on Sunday the 3rd.Isn't she soooo cute!

These are my favorite pajamas. I just had to show you her cute smile and then her cheesie smile. I love the cheesie one because you can see her teeth!

On Friday, Grandpa and Grandma Dinger took us to Antelope Island (it is about 10 minutes from their house) and we saw Buffalo and Antelope! I also saw a wild rabbit and a bald eagle (all not pictured here!)

It's an antelope! This is my third time on the Island and my first time seeing Antelope!
Tori in her car seat enjoying the ice cream stick (don't worry she had some of the ice cream too!)
Tori is eating her first sucker. She sucked for a little bit, but wasn't really all that interested. I don't like sugar candy myself, so maybe she just didn't like it! Oh and look closely at her pigtails! Gigi curled them with Auntie Marie's old baby curlers!
Tori waiting for a table at Jeremiah's (a really good restaurant). I loved the little chair!

12 month Stats

I took Tori to the doctor's today and she weighs 19 pounds 1 ounce (15%) and is 29 1/2 (50%). She is very social and amazed the doctor with her 3 different types of waves. She is doing well... not walking yet, but healthy as a horse! Isn't she freaking adorable?! She loves to dance, walk with a hand or her walker, play with other kids and adults, read books and take baths! She is getting soooo big!
