Halloween!

We took Tori to her first Trunk or Treat that our ward threw yesterday. She looked so cute in her little Forest Fairy outfit (Livy's last costume) and had a ton of fun getting candy. She would even take a piece of candy out of the bowl and put it inside her Elmo! She got really excited when she got a roll of Smarties and looked at me and said "Um" which means some and so of course I had to give her some.

I dressed up as a pregnant native american. :) That is about as good as you get. Our little forest fairy enjoying the leaves and if you look closely you will see that her cheeks are stuffed with smarties and she has one in her little fingers!

With Smartie in hand, trick-or-treating. Tori enjoying the sugar high!

Ahhh!

Tori with Dad...licking her fingers for a little bit more Smartie dust! And with me.

Monday for Family Home Evening we carved pumpkins. Jason made a traditional one, I made a cat and Jason made a Mickey for Tori. I thought they turned out pretty cool!

This is my stomach compared to Tori's pumpkin! :) Ha ha ha! I went to the doctor's yesterday and told him that I am starting to go crazy (I am constantly making sure that the baby is moving and when the poor girl is asleep I will make her move for me). I told him that I would really like to have a Non Stress Test and see what the umbilical cord was doing. Of course I was crying and he reassured me that everything was ok and that he would take the baby earlier if it would make me feel better (I assured him that my craziness wasn't that debilitating and that I could wait a week and a half). But I am having Non Stress Tests now. She is a girl for sure and I know that she has hair. She looks so huge in the ultrasound now! I got to see all of her parts and her cute face. Her cord is just fine. After the test tori and I waited for about and hour so that I would get a Swine Flu Vaccine.

Ok... I know this picture has nothing to do with Halloween, but Tori loved bubbles so much that I bought her some bubble bath. She thought it was cool for 5 seconds (hence the cute picture), but then she threw a fit and wanted out of the bubbles! It was hilarious!

2 weeks and counting!

Climbing on the center table...what a little monkey!
I can't wait until there is single digits until Brooke is here. I have to tell you that I had a strange dream that I went in to have the C-section and we had a boy instead of a girl and I threw a hissy fit! I told them that they said I was having a girl and that I wanted a girl or a refund! Ha ha ha! I have to tell you that I am really tired of being pregnant!
Well...life hasn't been all that exciting lately. I thought that I was having contractions last Wednesday, but no such luck. I think that she was just dropping, but I had contractions for about 2 hours, not enough to get me to the hospital, but enough to get my hospital bag all ready. Tori was a month and a day early, so I didn't have a bag packed or the room ready. So this time we are a little bit more on top of things.
Tori just keeps on getting bigger. She turned the magic 18 months on Saturday and she went to Nursery the first time on Sunday. There are a lot of kids in her class and she was a little bewildered when we went in the classroom (there was a lot of crying), but she found herself a nice lizard and a green ball to play with and she was happy. I left when she was preoccupied. I didn't go in to check on her (that would have just caused a tantrum) but I jumped a little every time the door opened in Sunday School and Relief Society wondering if they were coming to get me. Jason said he peeked in (what a weakling! ha ha ha) and he said that she was having fun. Our nursery is split so all of the 2-3 year olds are in a different room. I think that makes it easier.
Here are a few pictures of Miss Tori...enjoy!

One day I brought the camera into the my bedroom. Immediately Tori came over and gave me "the hand" no pictures here mom! and then crawled under the bed. :)

Here is an ok picture of me and Tori...I put the camera on timer and caught this picture.

I have told you about Tori's monkey habits that slowly get more dangerous everyday. She loves to climb on things and she has figured out that if she moves her little chair to the center table she can climb up and dance. These are pictures of her trying to get off.

Dancing and singing to her favorite CD "Sesame Street's Greatest Hits". Enjoying a snack of cheddar chickadees. (like the fountain on her head. It was a pony tail until she took a nap!)

These were taken today. Notice the drool on her shirt. That is another new trick...she drinks out of her sippy and lets the last sip of milk dribble down her shirt!

I blame it on a cold!

The star of the show!
Ok...so I haven't posted in a long time again. Sorry! I promise I will get better! Well, Tori and I have just been hanging around the house. We just got over colds about 2 weeks ago and then suddenly I got another cold. (I prayed everyday that Jason and Tori wouldn't get it and so far so good.) I think it is just one of those change of the weather colds but add the fact that I am going to have a baby in a little less than a month and my lung capacity is shrinking along with my bladder and sleep and you get a doosie of a cold! Tori was a good sport (I admit one day we watched 4 hours of PBS while I rested on the couch...you gotta do what you gotta do) but I am sure Tori didn't mind. She kept coming to me on the couch and poking my eyeballs (they were closed) and then she would giggle.
Anyway, I still want this baby to come tomorrow...I am getting very uncomfortable and I just keep on thinking that Tori was this early so why not Brooke too?! I will not explain all of my woes, but I have a feeling that I do have sympathy from all of my motherly friends! ;)
I have tried to get pictures of Tori, but she is horrible to catch on film lately. Yesterday I found out that it is mostly my fault. She never runs to the camera when Jason is holding it...so we are going to give Jason the role as official photographer from now on!
We bought Tori some winter clothes (we usually don't have to buy clothes thanks to little Livy and her exstensive wardrobe that we inherit, but she lives in San Francisco and her short sleeve shirts and lack of fleece pajamas were not enough this time). We broke down and went to Carter's outlet (I had a coupon for 20% off) and bought 5 fleece Pjs and 6 shirts for $73!!! I love Carter clothes because I know they will last at least through 2 kids! Wahoo! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
This is one of Livy's old dresses. Tori looked adorable in it...she went to church with just daddy this day. If you look closely you can see Tori's bed head pigtails from an afternoon nap! :)
One of Tori's favorite past times is climbing the fireplace and raising her hands over her head like she is the winner. We always say "Look! Tori is the tallest one!" and she giggles really hard. (That is one of her new shirts...and she is sporting a pair of khakis from Tiff's niece Charlie.)
Our little character!
She has just started to kiss the cat. Amazingly Cami allows these open mouth spit riddled kisses on her face. It is quite funny. Tori loves her cat! Here she is stuck again in her shopping cart in her new fleece froggie pjs.

Conference with a silly little girl!

Tori has been growing up so much in the past few weeks! It is so fun to see her cute little attitude and sweet spirit shine through. She is such a fun and very good little girl!
We watched conference this weekend with Jason's parents. It was fun to watch Tori's reaction to 8 hours of church (during the hours when she usually watches Sesame Street!). But as always she was a gem and made conference that much more fun. Here are some of the fun things she did:
~She is now starting to fold her arms and bowing her head during prayers, but when prayers are too long (more than 5 seconds) she gets a little disinterested and starts to wander or dance!
~Anytime the organ started to play she would drop what she was doing and start to lead the music. After a while the leading would then turn into dancing which would inevitably turn into twirling or jumping! She is quite the dancer! Sometimes she would even add her own singing on the long sustained notes. It made us all giggle.
~It was fun to cuddle together under blankets with her snugly footie pajamas. She still puts her two hands behind her head when she is watching TV.
~one time we were all intently listening to the speaker when we see Tori's high chair slowly creeping from the dining room to the living room. Tori pushed it all the way to Grandpa and thought she was pretty funny. She was all grins and very proud of herself.
Tori is so FUN!
More things Tori is up to:
~she loves to sing "Row, row, row your boat" and will frequently ask for it to be sung to her by saying "row, row, row".
~she can do all of the movements for the "Itsy bitsy spider"
~she can make herself quite dizzy dancing to "Ring around the rosie" and sometimes she falls down when she is supposed to in the song, but I think she likes to be dizzy more.
~she just learned to walk on her tip toes and thinks that is pretty funny.
~she learned how to "skip" from grandpa Dinger. Mind you it is not perfect and is mostly a combination of tip toe and jumping, but it is hilarious to watch! (It was also quite funny to see Dennis skip around our living room too!)
~Tori also likes to dump all of her books out (one at a time) onto the floor and then stick the little book holder on her head and walk around the room like she can't see.
I came in from using the "facilities" to find Tori had turned her little shopping cart over and climbed in. She was totally stuck. Note the necklace that she has dangled around her neck!

Notice all of her accessories! 3 necklaces and 2 bracelets! What bling.

I found you! I caught her with my phone! Ha ha ha! She always hides in the corner of the dining room with her finds! She is giggling...notice the one sock on one sock off!
