Bet you'll never guess!

Well...Tori is going to be a big sister! Yep that's right! We have been keeping it a bit of a secret, but the word is out! We heard the little munchkin's heartbeat and we saw the little bean (well...I guess the baby is the size of a fig). This is what the baby probably looks like... we didn't get a souvenir picture! The heartbeat was 172 beats/minute and that usually means it is a boy...um...I already had a hunch by how well the morning sickness is going( I had morning sickness with Spencer from the 2nd trimester until the end and with Tori just the 1st trimester with Tori) and where the baby seems to be hanging out (oh so high). Ha ha ha! But if it is a girl...that is kinda what I wanted so that Tori could grow up with a close sister, like Lora and me. Well...the due date is November 17th and I will just say that it will come sometime in November because my guess is that the baby won't stay that long (Tori was a month early!) Anyway, we are way excited and can't wait to see who this munchkin is going to look like! Hurray!

Birthday Girl...Tori's 1st birthday!

Tori was such a trooper on her Birthday...after Daddy's long graduation and a little bit of fun on BYU grass...

we got our Birthday girl to give us a huge grin!

She used all the rest of her energy crawling in the grass and was lulled to sleep in the car. After a long nap through Brick Oven lunch...Tori was ready to party! Her birthday party was held at the Dunn's house. Our whole family, the Dunns, the Braithwaites, the Lindsays and Rachie came to the festivities. It was fun to have Maggie (Lindsay) and Jacob (Braithwaite) there to help Tori try out her new toys!

Tori liked all of her cards and I think that she received every single 1st birthday card made by Sesame Street! Not one was a duplicate. She thought the cards were little books! Here she is modeling the new chair she got from Auntie Marie! It was a hit! All of the kids were fans!

Tori also loved the big bird and Abby Cadabby toys from Auntie Lora and family.

Her cake was adorable and delicious (we got it at Target!). I thought that I would take a picture before the destruction....

but Tori was too tired (as you can tell by the saggy eyes) to do too much damage.

She mostly just licked the icing and stuck her hand in to get the toys off. Although it was only 7:30 pm...she was wasted and after a quick clean and some pjs, she was off for some much needed sleep.

The next day she was bright and cheery! Ha ha ha! Here she is hanging out with her cousin Lance. We did have to explain to her that you cannot have a crush on your cousin. But she sure did love him! (She is enjoying one of her first bottles of whole milk! No more powdered gold!) Doesn't she look cute in a Krispy Kreme hat!? All in all we had a fabulous weekend!
Make sure you see Jason's graduation post too!

Graduation

Jason graduated from BYU on Friday. He officially (well...kinda...he doesn't really get his degree for another 4-6 weeks) is a Master of Social Work. He would now like all of his friends and family to call him Master Dinger. Ha ha ha! After 3 hours of grueling ceremonies and about 100 pictures, we celebrated at Brick Oven! Yum! We were excited to have most of Jason's family at the blessed day. It was awesome to have them all there.

Yeah! He did it! He was actually in the first 5 minutes of names called...believe it or not there was two more hours of names after his! We should have skipped out! But Jason did get to shake Elder Christofferson's hand (he was there giving degrees to some of his family members) and Elder Rasband of the presidency of the 70.

Tori was actually pretty good considering she only had a half an hour nap! This is a cute shot of Tori with Gigi and Grandpa sitting in the stands (We were there from 10am to 2!)

Although Tori isn't looking this is a cute family pic!

Here we all are! Dennis, Gwen, Michelle, me, Jason, Tori, Lance and Marie.

Proud parents and wife!

Ahhh....a tender shot with Marie!

Jason with Michelle and our nephew, Lance.

The girls.

Tori loved playing with the bell on Gigi's walker! But that wasn't the end of the festivities! It was actually Tori's 1st birthday on graduation day!

Easter, a faux birthday and other randomness

Jason and I decided that we are going to have a tradition to have the Easter basket part of Easter the Saturday before Easter Sunday...that way we can focus on the real meaning of Easter on Sunday. Anyway, Saturday night Tori got her first Easter basket. No candy just stuffed animals and Gerber Rice puffs!
Later that night we celebrated Tori's birthday with a little cupcake. Her birthday really isn't until April 24th but my parents can't make it to the party, so we celebrated while we were in Oregon! This is tori after a few minutes of mild confusion as to what was sitting on her high chair tray and if it was actually edible! Ha ha ha!

Tori is watching Elmo with Grandpa...I am not sure who enjoyed it more! I guess it is more entertaining than Raffi!

Tori is enjoying her Easter rice puffs with Grandma...oh and don't worry we had to see her take on the chocolate Easter bunny...of course it was ears first! She loved that!
Here she is in her Easter dress. Grandma got it for her...It is a size too big, but she will grow into it! The shoes fit great except they didn't have the grips...they are made for 3-6 month olds! The grips don't come until size 4 (these are size 2s!)
Here we are back home where Tori has discovered how to open all the drawers in the house. We are moving so we don't want to put the baby locks on the drawers. She has fun though playing with all the pot holders! She is not quite tall enough to see what is in drawer #3. Or she would have a hay day with all of those utensils!
Last but not least in the randomness of things...it snowed on Wednesday and Thursday morning! Weird huh? Gotta love April snow!
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE POST OF OUR TRIP TO OREGON!

I LOVE Oregon!

The Dunns, Auntie Marie and our little family met up with my parents in Oregon for Easter weekend! It was fabulous!
Ahhh...the beautiful gorge! Tori wasn't so excited that we kept waking her up to get her out of the car! I love this picture though! Ha ha ha!
Tori was all over Grandpa...they were buds the whole trip. This is us at Crown Point. Look at Multnomah falls! It was so gorgeous with all of the run off! Tender family picture too!
Ahhh...the rose gardens..or should i say just grass gardens with empty rose bushes? Too much cloud cover to see Mt. Hood.
Tori's first Ice-cream had to be Tillamook. She had a chocolate kiddie cone!
She loved it!
I love the puffy cheeks on this one!
Rockaway! Tori's first beach appearance...well, the sugar crash and a nice nap in the car...she was out!
But woke up near the end for a good family pic.
Ahhh...and with the Dunns too!
Off to Cannon Beach. Adam has a really cool kite that we flew at both beaches...here is a picture of Adam flying it with Goonie Rock (Haystack Rock) in the background! Boy was it windy! Tori is wearing a shirt, a sweater and a hoodie!
A tender picture with Daddy! We loved visiting all of the sights! I am so glad that we are moving closer and can go there more often!
