Max and Me

The Dunns (our bestest friends) got the cutest new puppy. His name is Max. This is Tori's 3rd encounter with Max, but she is still a little wary. She was much braver this time...he likes to lick her face and play with her like she is a dog toy...

but they are trying to be friends...isn't this pic tender? (Can you see the concern in her eyes? "Guys...don't leave me alone with this thing!")

This is the face off...of course Cami doesn't like Max...big surprise...she doesn't really like anyone...she can stand the Dunns...and of course deep down she loves us!

Max was so small about 3 weeks ago, but he keeps on eating and growing! I think he is officially as big as Tori! Ha ha ha! the Dunn's baby is growing so fast...I mean he already can walk, has a lot of teeth and is huge! (I think he is 10 weeks old compared to Tori's 10 months!)
She was getting brave and wanted to play with his paws.
Tori is eating the letter "G" in this picture. Max curled up right beside her to take a little nap.
Ahhh...
I had to get a close up of sleeping Max! SO CUTE!!!!

Looking out the window...watching the snow.

One of Tori's new favorite pastimes...staring out the glass window and getting a taste of the (not so clean) window. Ha ha ha! Thought you would all enjoy!
She is watching the snow! Ahhh!
Looking at the camera...and this is what she is really doing...licking the glass up and down! Ha ha ha! The rest of the pictures are taken outside...sorry about the reflections...remember, I am not a professional!

LOVED this one!

Alivia and Tori looking out the window at me while taking pictures! So freaking cute! (You can see me in the reflection taking pictures!)

This one's for you Marie! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

Auntie Marie is Tori's Valentine this year. So we are dedicating this blog to Auntie Marie!
WE LOVE YOU!!

We got Tori a little Smurf for Valentine's Day...I had a Smurf that I lost when I was a little girl and I was traumatized! I was really excited to find him! Now tori can love him too!

Hi Auntie Marie! I am giving you the wave!

Gigi and grandpa came to Orem to babysit Tori while we went out! Tori got this cute outfit for Valentine's Day from them. She has a flower on her bum!
We saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. Way funny movie! Clean...a bit predictable, but worth it! I will buy it for sure! I recommend it! Wish I could see it with you Marie and Lora too!

Tori is showing off her crawling stance...she has the stance and the groove, but not the moves yet. It's a waiting game.

With her new friend...the Smurf.
She really likes to eat his nose and hat...and the tag!

PEEKING.... This is how we find Tori every morning when she wakes up and sometimes at nap time. She pulls down the frame of her crib and peeks out to see us come in. We totally need to lower the crib! (I couldn't choose...black and white or color?)
She just giggles and waits for us to rescue her.

So CUTE!!!

Tori Bori's Stats-9 months (well, really 9 1/2 months)

This picture was taken while she was watching her cousins boogie to some music in California. Look at her big smile. I think she misses Oscar and Liv. Here are two pictures of what she was watching! Hilarious! Liv is a real dancer! She moves all over and Oscar plays the guitar like a true rock hero! (Gotta love the tighty whiteys!)

We went to the doctors today and Tori received a glowing review! She is 17 pounds 10 ounces (25th percentile) and 27 1/2" tall (50th percentile). She is staying on her curve. She is babbling like a maniac these days, drooling about as much (maybe some teeth?) and she recently began the hand and knee boogie (when babies get in the crawling position and bounce, but still no crawling...she prefers the backward scoot and the roll...it is amazing how fast she can move!). But my favorite new thing she does is wave. She waves when we say hi and when she sees people that she knows. At first it was just waving her hand, but now she moves her fingers up and down too! So cute! She recently began picking up her own food and munching it too. She loves the little stars (hearts if I am going the Wal-mart brand) rice puffs. She is still sampling various different fruits, but she has tried every vegetable, chicken and ham. She still has not tried beef or turkey. I forgot to ask the doctor when she starts dairy (cheese and yogurt) oops...she has plenty to eat so I am not worried!

The Birch's in Alameda, CA *HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY LIVY LOU!*

One of the main reasons we went to Alameda was to celebrate Livy's 2nd birthday! Livy is like my surrogate child...I do not get to see Spencer go through all these milestones, but I sure get to see Livy grow! Livy was born eleven days after Spencer died. They would have been super close. Well...now Livy and Tori will be close like Lora and I. They are about 15 months apart. (Lora and I are 14 months!)
Well, Livy actually celebrated her birthday 3 times (once with my mom and dad, once on her actual birthday and once with her grandma Kathy! ha ha ha! I love birthday weeks!) The morning of her first birthday we went to McDonalds and she had pancakes (which is really the bread of the McGriddle and OJ). Her cake was a little hostess cupcake with candles. (Sorry I didn't get a picture of that.)

Livy got a Little People Doll house for her birthday from my parents and her parents. It is super cute and let's face it...one day we will inherit it! I love free toys!

She was so excited to open presents!
This time we decided not to plan to much stuff and just hang out together as a family. We went to the park and played! It was fun to see the kids have a ball with Grandpa and Grandma. Livy made herself at home in the sand. Mom loved pushing baby Tori around. We all had turns on the swings and Oscar and Livy played tether ball with Uncle, Grandpa and Jake!
Ahhh! Grandma and Tori girl.
Swing wars! Oscar was laughing so hard that I thought he was going to pee his pants!
Isn't this one tender? Ahhh....Suckerboy (an Livy interpretation of Oscar boy) holding his mama's hand.
After the park we needed a rest. Tori joined Grandpa. They giggled...
had a serious conversation....
and played for a bit...
but this is what it turned into in the end. A nice snuggle with Grandpa!
after the nap there was a fun ride!

Dad played guitar hero with Jake! he did pretty good!

Dad the rocker!
Although we only had a day and a half with everyone together it was so much fun to hang out with everyone! I think the next time will be in Oregon during the summer...until then!
BE SURE TO SEE ALL OF THE NEW POSTS!

Picpic (Livy's word for picnic)

One morning Tori and Livy had a picpic. This picnic consists of plastic food, plates and utensils on a blanket in the living room. Livy loves baby Tori!

The girls enjoying their plastic culinary snack.

And this is the cutest picture (I know...it's blurry, but you try and get two little girls to look at the camera at the same time and not move!) All of the rest of the shots that I have Livy is either looking away or moving and Tori is totally not looking...Jason said that this shot killed his back...thanks babe for your patience!

The Oakland Zoo!

We went to sunny California at the end of January and I got to stay until Saturday! I was in heaven! A whole entire week and a half with my sister! It was so sunny and beautiful! I was packing our clothes for the trip and had to repack clothes for the sun because the first week it was mostly in the high fifties and sixties! Well, we decided to let Oscar play hookie from school and we went to the Oakland Zoo. Lora has a pass and so we took advantage of the sun and take Tori to the zoo for the first time! The zoo was great! They had a fabulous selection of animals too! Here are a few that we saw.

Flamingos Giraffes
Tori and me in front of the giraffes and this is a wart hog!
Beautiful Macaws
We even saw giant tortoises! Here is Jason riding on the back of a giant tortoise shell. Yee Haw!
Tori was smiling the whole time. She loved the walk and the sun!
They have a cool section in the park where there are things that kids can climb on. We found this very rare Livy spider on this rope web.
Oscar climbed a giant red frog!
....and so did Livy
Here's Liv in the shell peeking through.
I love this pic!
Tori wished that she was big like Oscar so she could go on the rides too! Oscar loves the rides at the zoo! Here he is riding on the planes!
Tori and I didn't ride the Ferris Wheel, but Lora, Livy, Jason and Oscar did. Lora played it safe with a bench and Oscar rode on a zebra.
hold on tight!
Here's a pretty good pic of the fam. (Do you see that we are wearing short sleeve shirts?!)
Well, we had a ton of fun! We didn't even see all the animals due to hungry and tired kiddos! Can't wait to go again.
